Kabiné Komara, former Prime Minister of Guinea and member of the Brazzaville Foundation's Advisory Board, led the Election Observation Mission to Burkina Faso on November 22, 2020.
Given his unfailing commitment to the consolidation of democracy in Africa, his proven knowledge of the region and his rich experience in institutional issues, the ECOWAS Commission asked the former Prime Minister of Guinea to lead this mission aimed at ensuring that the contending parties were all in agreement on the electoral register, the composition and functioning of the National Independent Electoral Commission as well as on the entire process of conducting the elections from the voting to the counting procedures and the aggregation of results.
Mission accomplished for the member of our Advisory Council and the 60 observers of the Observation Mission: the presidential and legislative elections of November 22nd and the proclamation of the results took place in a peaceful climate.
