Foundation involvement in GIABA Lomé Forum

The Brazzaville Foundation was represented at the Advisory Forum organised by GIABA, the West African Inter Governmental Action Group Against Money Laundering, in Lomé on 26-28 June.

Speaking on a panel on the financing of terrorism, Oliver Scutt, member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, drew attention to the growing involvement of the traffic in falsified medicines in such financing  and commended the new initiative being launched by five West African Presidents with the support of the Foundation to criminalise this traffic and impose stiff criminal penalties.
