Who we are
The Foundation is an independent, non-profit organisation, registered as a charity in the UK.
It is managed by an experienced Board of Trustees, supported by an international Advisory Board made up of highly distinguished individuals whose experience and expertise enable them to give guidance to the Foundation and assist it in its work.
What we do
The Foundation develops cross-border and regional projects to address key economic and environmental problems. In doing so we aim to promote regional dialogue and peaceful cooperation to the benefit of both people and the environment.
The Foundation also seeks to facilitate dialogue and achieve a better understanding between conflicting parties wherever informal diplomacy, bridge-building and discreet, pragmatic engagement offer an alternative way forward. In doing so the Foundation acts on its own initiative, at the request of the parties to a conflict, or at the invitation of regional or multilateral organisations.
Where we work
The Foundation takes a special interest in African issues but its scope, like its Board of Advisers, is genuinely international.
Our commitment to accountability and transparency
The Foundation considers that honesty and integrity are indispensable to its aims in promoting peace and conservation. The Foundation is committed to operating in a wholly ethical manner and does not tolerate any form of bribery, corruption or money laundering.
Copies of the Foundation’s Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy and Procedures and of its Anti-Money Laundering Policy and Procedures are available on request.
The Foundation has appointed professional advisers on a pro bono basis to conduct due diligence, to ensure the integrity of its financial processes and to advise on all measures necessary to ensure the effectiveness of the Foundation's anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies.
